Eight hilarious quotes - who said it and why?

The world is full of creative people who make funny statements to entertain audiences and which have underlying truths. We cannot help but celebrate those hilarious quotes spurred from the hearts of those who, in funny terms, teach us a little something about anything.

“Figure out what to do, then take a nap” -  said by comedian Adam Carolla who represents a not-so-philosophical but rather relaxing way of getting over issues that might be tormenting someone at the moment. But then epiphany strikes and you figure a way out; what you deserve after that is some rest.

“Let us now set forth one of the fundamental truths about marriage: the wife is in charge.” – said by
Bill Cosby. You probably do not know that Mr. Cosby has written one or two books about marriage and family. In this quote he reminds us of one universal truth about marriage. All women say “amen”.

“I hate when old people poke you at a wedding and say ‘you're next’. So next time I was at a funeral I poked them and said ‘you're next’.” – author unknown. It is more like a pop culture phrase. We included it here because we think it’s…well, hilarious! We do not recommend you getting back at oldies like that but, we still believe it’d be funny if you did.

“I can resist everything except temptation” - said by Oscar Wilde. The famous novelist wrote this one for the play “Lady Windermere’s Fan”. When taken out of context, it sounds pretty funny.

“Don't steal. The government hates competition.” – said by candidate Ron Paul. It became viral instantly but remains a funny and satirical way of looking at our governments.

“Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe” – stated by Albert Einstein. We can only surmise that Albert Einstein had solid reasons to make this statement.

“If a book about failures doesn't sell, is it a success?” – stated by humorist Jerry Seinfeld, which is a valid question.

“Procrastinate now” – said by Ellen Degeneres during a speech she was giving about procrastination.
